T.E.S.S.A.R.I.: A family bound to Garganega

T.E.S.S.A.R.I.: A family bound to Garganega

12 March 2020

On the lush hills of Soave classico area, where rows of vines make the landscape just magical, a hidden gem called T.E.S.S.A.R.I. winery lies. So what makes it so special? Here are our impressions about the wonderful work they do and the amazing people they are.

It’ s a family business

Now, let’s talk about them. At T.E.S.S.A.R.I you will get to know 7 different people: three siblings, two super nice girls and last but not least mum and dad. Aldo and Bianca, mamma e papà, worked really hard in the past decades to make the business grow. Today everything is run by their three guys, but they love to help them in the winery or during the harvest. Then there are Cornelia, Antonio and Germano. Cornelia, is the beautiful business woman who has exported her family’s passion, story and wines to different corners of the world like Canada, China and Australia. Antonio is the winemaker, always busy at improving his techniques to obtain better results. Germano takes care of the vines and the vineyards, the place where everything starts to have a great wine. Last but not least, two girls work in the winery: the super sweet Sara and Elisa, who will conquer you with her contagious enthusiasm. They welcome their guests with a great smile and a glass of wine and then show them around the winery. The perfect way to start, isn’t it?

5(0) shades of Garganega

Now you have probably realized how much we like these guys but there is something more that makes this winery unique. The family has decided to produce their range of wines using a single variety: Garganega. The grape name sounds a bit weird, but this is the queen of Soave. Basically to produce Soave, you use mainly Garganega grapes. The nice thing about T.E.S.S.A.R.I. is that they use Garganega not only to produce Soave and Recioto, the most famous products of the entire area and their best sellers, but also to experiment with 3 different kind of wines. Arcerus is a charmat-method-sparkling wine, Avus is a fizzy wine sur lies and then Bine Longhe, which is a late harvest Soave. The love for the native grape Garganega together with their expertise let them produce some of the best and most interesting products of the entire Soave area.
