They call it opera, but what does it mean?

19 August 2021

Opera in Italian describes an activity, an action directed to an end. It means creating, building, inventing. It is the result of both material work, such as wine, and intellectual work, such as making music, singing, acting.

In Verona, these two “operas” are both there, and we introduce them to you at Pagus Store with 3 evenings, which you will not forget.
On 27 August, 1 and 2 September, days in which Aida, Nabucco and La Traviata will be represented at the Arena di Verona, from 5.30 pm you can have a taste of what the opera is.

A musical introduction to the evening by the violin maestro Andrea Testa awaits you, combined with a tasting of wines and local food of Verona.

The wineries participating in these events are: Novaia and Tessari with their organic wines, Coali, Corte Quaiara and Corte Archi.

In addition to these 3 events, you can live other new experiences and discoveries with Pagus tours.
On August 25th you can take part in a walk in the summer evening of Verona, with a guide who will tell you stories and monuments of our city and then conclude with an artisan ice cream.

The theme of the tour on September 9th, on the other hand, will be art. You will leave from the church of San Zeno, to discover the traces of wine culture in the monuments of Verona, up to the tasting of wine and local flavors in the PaguStore

Finally, it is known that September is the month of harvest. Have you ever thought of trying to be a winemaker for a day? Then mark 12 September: thanks to the collaboration between Viaggiocontrovento and Dindo winery, in Fumane in Valpolicella, you will be able to experience a day of harvest, take a break with tasting and receive a personalized bottle of wine.
