Discover our “A cooking class in Valpolicella” tour, an incredible day genuine local food and wines. The lesson will take place in a cellar or restaurant in the heart of Valpolicella, where you will be introduced to the wines and tastes of this territory.
Our half-day cooking lesson is the best way to learn how to cook authentic Italian and Veronese recipes in an informal and friendly environment. During the cooking lesson, you will create a full meal. Your teacher will provide you with an explanation on all recipes using traditional Italian cooking methods. Above all, the class is fully hands-on… are you ready to “get your hands dirty”?
Program of the cooking course in Valpolicella
Introduction to the teacher and presentation of the menu of the day. During the morning you will learn the basic skills necessary to prepare authentic traditional Italian and Veronese dishes, and the teacher will guide you in the creation of all the recipes, revealing tricks and secrets. You will use ingredients from the area, to support local producers. After a couple of hours of cooking you will enjoy the fruits of your work. Lunch will be paired with traditional local wines.
During the day, if you are interested, it will be possible to visit the property that hosts us for the cooking class (let us know in advance if you are interested, so we can check availability).
The menu may vary according to the season (we can give you more details at the time of booking), but will consist of:
- Fresh handmade pasta or gnocchi with sauce
- Simple second course
- Traditional dessert

Please notice: the tour leader, in respect of all the guests, will wait for you in case of late maximum for 15 minutes.
We want you to spend a lovely day with no distress so, please, in booking our tours, inform us if you have limited mobility (in some old cellars there are stairs), or if you have any intolerance or allergy about food/wine.
We ask you to inform us if you have any appointment after the tour (if you booked a train ticket, an opera show in Arena or a reservation for a restaurant), so we can do our best to respect the schedule.
In the cellar the temperature is constant 15 Celsius degrees (59 Fahrenheit), so we suggest to take with you a sweater or a jacket; if it will be possible we will try to show you the vineyards, so it’s recommended to wear sneakers or comfortable shoes.
