Corte Canella Canella
Corte Canella is a family-run winery located in Cellore d’Illasi, a hilly area approximately 200 meters above sea level. The Val d’Illasi is a broad, sun-drenched valley with predominantly alluvial soil—rich in stones and pebbles—that is exceptionally well-suited for viticulture. The primary mission of the Venturini family is to honor the fruits of the land by respecting and nurturing it with the utmost care.
The story of Corte Canella began as both a dream and a bold gamble; in 2009, Francesco Venturini, supported by his wife Adriana, completely transformed his life to invest in an ambitious project: establishing a winery and crafting wines that would leave a lasting impression. This is how Corte Canella was born. In 2013, their daughter Gloria joined the business—inheriting a dream that was not originally her own; she now represents the future of the winery.
At the heart of their wines lies an unbreakable love for the land. They cultivate it with the same devotion one might show in raising children—recognizing its unique qualities and striving to highlight them, all while fully respecting its inherent diversity. This same level of care applied in the vineyards extends to the cellar, throughout the delicate process of transforming grapes into wine. Each grape variety follows a distinct path, tailored to the specific wine for which it is destined.
If you are looking for a place where you can truly sense a deep passion for both one’s work and the land, Corte Canella is undoubtedly the place for you. The Venturini family will welcome you with open arms, offering an unforgettable experience in the beautiful Illasi valley.
