Begali Lorenzo Lorenzo
Azienda Agricola Begali Lorenzo is a family-run winery located in the Cengia area, on the slopes of the Castelrotto hill in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica region. Their vineyards, spanning approximately 12 hectares, are situated across the hills and foothills within the municipalities of San Pietro in Cariano and Negrar di Valpolicella.
The estate was established toward the end of the Second World War, when the grandfather, Giordano, began vinifying local grapes. The family legacy was carried forward by his son, Lorenzo—supported by his wife, Adriana—who reached a significant milestone in 1986 by releasing the winery’s first estate-bottled wines. Today, the tradition continues with their children, Giordano and Tiliana, who work alongside their parents, focusing specifically on wine production and commercial operations.
Great care is taken at every stage of production—from vineyard management to cellar operations—driven by a commitment to continuous quality improvement. The Begali family has long adopted integrated and sustainable viticultural practices; by minimizing interventions in the vineyard, they obtain exceptional raw material while maximizing respect for the local environment.
If you are looking for an authentic glimpse into Valpolicella, the Begali winery offers exactly that—an unpretentious setting where tradition remains at the heart of both family life and winemaking.
