Vinification: the Recioto della Valpolicella by Tenuta Trabucchi is born from a rigorous manual selection of indigenous Valpolicella grapes, harvested from the second half of September through the end of October. Following the harvest, the clusters undergo a long, natural appassimento (drying process) extending from September to March, resulting in a significant weight loss of approximately 80%. This slow and patient process concentrates sugars, aromas, and structure while simultaneously preserving freshness and balance. In March, the grapes are destemmed, followed by a slow and controlled fermentation: initially in stainless steel tanks, then moving to new barriques, where the wine completes its fermentation and remains until late spring.

Aging: aging continues in oak barriques until bottling, allowing the Recioto to develop depth, harmony, and expressive finesse. In the glass, it presents as a passito red wine with an intense, almost inky violet color. The olfactory profile is broad and complex, dominated by a distinct note of dried blackberry, accompanied by dark and enveloping nuances. On the palate, the significant sweetness is perfectly balanced by a fresh acidity, which provides lift, drinkability, and elegance. Each sip is harmonious, fine, and profound, supported by a substantial structure that makes this Recioto a magnificent meditation wine, capable of uniting power and grace.
