Trabucchi

Trabucchi d'Illasi d'Illasi

In Illasi, in eastern Valpolicella, in a panoramic position overlooking the Illasi and Tramigna valleys, lies a beautiful villa surrounded by ten hectares of vineyards, at an average altitude of 140 to 200 meters. Here, the Trabucchi family has been growing traditional grapes since 1924, using natural methods, with certified organic farming for over thirty years.

Over time, the 1924 cellar, which hosted the birth of Trabucchi wine, was annexed in 2002 by a new winery, a large and spacious construction considered among the most significant and original of the last decade for the technical solutions adopted.
The winery and the splendid estate were purchased in 2024 by the Dal Forno family, historic producers of Valpolicella, with the aim of preserving the tradition and uniqueness of Trabucchi wines.

Trabucchi wines are produced with native grape varieties, primarily Corvina and Corvinone, but also Rondinella, Oseleta, and Croatina. Each vineyard is managed according to its unique characteristics, its particular interaction with the environment, with the goal of achieving the most suitable physiological balance for the vine. High selection, low yields, manual harvesting, drying in a humidity-controlled facility, and meticulous attention to detail in the cellar. All this to bring to the glass, with remarkable clarity and freshness, the strength and quality of this land’s unmistakable and unique aromas.

Visiting the Trabucchi winery means immersing yourself in a Valpolicella winery that combines tradition and innovation, even in its architecture, harmonizing the beauty of an ancient villa with the functionality of a modern cellar. Completing the picture is a breathtaking view that will make you feel like you’re in a fairytale.
