2017 was also the year Laura passed away, and Cristiano took over the winery to carry on his wife’s dream. Both in the vineyard and in the cellar, Cristiano decided to adopt a manual approach, from pruning to punching down, from harvesting to bottling. A choice aimed at preserving ancient traditions, letting nature guide them. Although they work in the heart of the Valpolicella DOC, they have abandoned regulations and their denominations to embrace the concept of cru: each vineyard has its own soul and its own label. The grapes from each individual vineyard are vinified separately, because the soil, exposure, altitude, and microclimate are the elements that define the identity and quality of natural wine.

Terre di Pietra is not just a winery, but a vibrant and open company that has created a true community around itself, attentive to the environment, the land, and tradition. Their commitment extends not only to the production of natural wines, but also to the development of projects dedicated to biodiversity and the cultivation of fruit and olive trees. Every Friday, the winery hosts the “Earth Market“, with small producers and artisans from across the province who come to share their products and experiences.
